Our Vision

Starting an online wine business during these unprecedented times means that we are ready to take on the challenge of assisting our loyal customers, both old and new, to make purchases that best suits their palate whether it be for personal or corporate consumption or a very special occasion.

For the more adventurous wine drinker, we will tempt you with new releases, or special vintages and try our best to acquire a small allocation for those award winners that are more difficult to get your hands on.

While those intimidated by the choices on offer, we will gladly assist you in making that special selection based on your preference and budget, maintaining the simplicity by delivering straight to your door.

Meet the team

Sandy Nicol

I have worked in the wine industry for 17 years and gained most of my experience under the guidance of very influential people in the wine industry. Whilst working as Private Client Ambassador at Historic Wines of the Cape for 10 years I had the privilege of representing La Motte, Rupert & Rothschild, L’Ormarins, Leopards Leap, De Grendel and Cederberg wineries. In 2016 I joined Meridian Wine Merchants as Private Ambassador for the Western Cape Region.

Over the past 17 years I have built up a great following of private customers,  some of whom have become good friends. My passion is service, quality and going the extra mile to keep my customers happy. Satisfied customers are what makes me tick. I love a challenge and am ready to spread my wings over the mountains and vineyards to make sure my customers, old and new,  always have a good bottle of wine to share with friends and colleagues.

Being no stranger to the world of wine, I have spent the past 20 years working in various positions within the wine industry where I soon learnt to love the culture and people that were brought across my path – not to mention the wonderful wines our country has to offer!

 

I started as a Telesales assistant and wine club co-ordinator and moved into a Sales Consultant position for Haute Cabriere for 7 years. Career progression meant that I sought the challenge of becoming a Key Accounts Manager which meant looking after restaurant groups for 3 years and thereafter a Sales Manager for a newly developed wine distribution company. More recently I have been working as a Private Club Ambassador with Meridian Wine Merchants, assisting Corporates and wine consumers with their wine purchases which sometimes included hosting and presenting wine tastings. I really enjoyed the personal interactions and the rewarding support from the loyal customer database I developed.
